Has been really busy in the Essam household in the last two weeks, but will try and cover everything!

The main news is that we have been given conditional approval from the National to build our first HOME.  This is fantastic news and certainly made Belinda very happy.  We are going to be building in a new suburb called Casey and its being built by a company called Gracious Living. Next stage is picking a block and then getting the final tick from the Bank!  We hope to be starting to build in August, September to be finished by next year. So have been very busy running around getting forms and paperwork together. All good stuff!

Walking training has been slack, but will be getting my backside into gear in the next few days. Got the LBG 20 mile carnival in June.

Have now got quite a busy agenda after hours. Am helping the Canberra 2 day walk with publicity , Membership Officer for the Belconnen Branch of the RSL and will probably be on the ACT Walking Club Committee after the weekend.  It’s all good fun and its one fo the things I was looking forward to in getting out the RAAF and settling down in one place ( BTW – I have joined the Reserve element of the RAAF and will be doing a month a year). Helps the Piggy Bank and gives me a tie with my past.

Rusty went to the VET today and is now perfectly legal in Canberra.  He is sleeping the after effects off and has been allowed in the House tonight.

Went and saw X-Men origins last night.  Good harmless comic book fun!  Tied in very well with the other X-Men Films.

Thanks Mr Rudd for extending my retirement age by another 2 years! But serious thanks for the three month extension on the First Home Owners Grant. Gives us some fudge factor if problems crop up.

I have found a new photo album to post my photos on the web.  You will find it at:

That’s it for now.

Keep moving forward.

Phil
