It’s been a month since my last Post in this series of Life in McKellar! I have been slack! But must have been busy doing other things anyway!
My walking training has been up and down in the last few weeks! I lost a few weeks due to the usual mid winter flu but am gradually getting back into the training rhythm! Did 12km last Satuday in an hour and forty three minutes which is ok! Am doing a 6 hour walk in a couple of weeks time and hope to cover 38kms! After that I am moving to shorter stuff for summer! The walking club moves to track races for the summer every Thursday night and Im hoping to go orinteering every Wednesday night. But the Coburg 24hr will be next April, so wont be able to elave it too late before doing some distance again!
The House building is now at the Hurry up and wait stage. We have picked all the colour schemes and now have to wait for Building to start in early November! With building in early November, hopefully our Home will be ready in February 2010. Going to be a long wait!
My Mum is coming to visit in a couple of weeks time and will be staying for three weeks! Will be good as we will be able to show her around Canberra and see Floriade etc. I’m sure she will have a good time! She is flying to Melbourne and then getting on the bus from there! Long overnight trip! But sure Mum will enjoy it!
I took Laura and a friend of hers to see Alice Cooper last night! He is certainly one singer that has survived the generation gap! His first two songs were Hits when I was in Grade Ten, thirty plus years ago! School’s out and Department of Youth! He covered all of his Hits from the last three decades and had the Theatre rocking! Excellant stage show and my ears havent suffered too much damage! Laura enjoyed herself as well which was GREAT!
That’s about it for now!
Keep moving forward!
Phil
