Sydney – Twice in a week

I have been to Sydney twice in the past week!  Not very uncommon some of you will say and some will say, “so what I go every day”.

The first time was last Thursday when I went up with Belinda and Laura to see the musical “Wicked” at the Capital Theatre.  It was an excellant production, great singing, great story and great sets.  The musical basically fills in the story before the “Wizard of Oz” tells its story. It all makes complete sense to me now!  We stayed that night at the Oaks Goldsboro Apartments near Darling Harbour.  I think it must have been an old warehouse that was renovated. Very njice place to stay but lousy tea bags provided!  Next day, we did some shopping at the Queen Victoria Building before heading back to Canberra and reality! Queen Victoria Building had some nice shops in it, but some were a bit overpriced for our budget!

The second time was yesterday when I headed to Sydney on the bus for an audition to go on “Millionaire Hot Seat”. Was held at one of the Clubs overlooking Sydney Harbour which had a very nice view indeed.  When I got there there was at least 200 people there.  First up was a written test which I passed!  At least half the people had to leave at that stage, so felt chuffed to get that far!  Next stage was filling out a personal particulars form followed my a mini screen test!  That was an interview under the lights and camera where you were aske da few questions about yourself!  I think it was to test one’s reaction to being under the spotlight!  After that , I had my photo taken and was free to go!  If I get a call back to be a contestant  it will be in the next three months!  So it’s not a definite, but I might be on a TV Quiz show and could win something! Headed back that night on the bus, so was a long day!
