3 new walks in the past week

Am slowly getting my act together and getting some more training done.  Even though i have got no real race ambitions at the moment, except for the LBG 20 mile, I have to do some more walking for myself, my health and will have a RAAF Reserve Fitness Test coming up soon!

The first walk was last Wednesday when I walked apporximately 10km around Lake Ginninderra (spelling) in Belconnen.  I took a longer way to the Lake from my place, did the lap and then came back home again.  Did ok and it was a shade under an hour and forty minutes,

The second walk was last Saturday night when I took part in my 12 hour Fat Ass in Canberra.  I had planned to do 48km, but fell a bit short and only did 22km. Couple of injury concerns and when you havent done the training your not going to get a good result on the board.

Last night, I went and took part in the 2km track walk at the Canberra Vets Thursday night meet.  Quite a few competitors there which was good!  It was a handicap walk!  I finished second last with a time of 19m 28s.  Take the 3m 40s handicap off and I was about 15m 50s .  This wasnt bad, but I know that I can do better in the next few weeks!  I didnt get any warnings or cautions either which was good!

So there you are.  Hopefully I can report a lot more in the next few weeks and months!
